Welcome!

If you are looking at this website, probably one of two things is true.  Either you are an Episcopalian who is interested in this parish…or you are an “inquirer,” a seeker who is curious about the Episcopal Church.  In any case we welcome your interest, and hope your curiosity will lead you to “come and see.”

The Episcopal Church is a small but influential body whose history is closely intertwined with that of our nation.  Our first General Convention was held in Philadelphia in 1789, at the same time as the Constitutional Convention. A number of prominent statesmen were delegates to both.

Presidents who were Episcopalians have included George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Gerald Ford, and the elder George Bush. The Episcopal Church is unique in combining orthodox doctrine with liberal social attitudes.  We are known as a church that is rich in tradition, yet contemporary in our openness and diversity.  Deep spirituality and active service to the community are equally important to us.  Our worship and programs are always open, and “all sorts and conditions” of people are welcome.

All Saints in Clinton is a friendly parish that specializes in hospitality.  Our facilities are frequently used by church, community and college groups.  We try to make everyone feel at home.  Fellowship is a reality here, and not just an ideal.

If you want to know more, the best way is to join us on Sunday morning.  Worship…with fine music, concise preaching, and beautiful liturgy…begins at 10:30. For those who want a quiet mid-week service, we offer a 5:30 Eucharist on Wednesday afternoons. This is followed by a dinner and a Canterbury Club program for students from Presbyterian College.

I keep office hours from 9:00 until noon on Monday through Thursday. I'm available for counseling, confession, or discussion. Feel free to drop in or call. It will be my pleasure to be of service. Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you will visit us in person. If you do, you will discover that our motto is true:

THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH WELCOMES YOU!
