Worshiping in the Anglican Tradition through Christian Faith, Love, and Service.
All Saints' Church is a parish church of the Diocese of Upper South Carolina. We have approximately 125 baptized members, are located in a small city of around 10,000 people, and are located adjacent to the campus of Presbyterian College, one of the most outstanding liberal arts colleges in the Southeast. The first services of what later was to become known as All Saints' Church were held in 1908. The church became an organized mission in 1950 and was admitted into union with the Diocesan Convention of Upper South Carolina in 1951.
All Saints' remained a mission for thirty-seven years. It obtained parish status in 1988 at the Diocesan Convention held in Clinton and hosted by All Saints', Clinton, and Church of the Epiphany, Laurens. The reported number of communicants in 1952 was ten; the number in 1999 was 133.
In the early years congregations gathered where they could. In 1952 All Saints' was able to buy the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church building that had been vacated in Clinton when that church built a new facility. The building, which had been built in 1900-1901, was moved from the original downtown location to the present site on Calvert Avenue. The first service held in [the new] All Saints' Church was on Christmas Eve, 1952. With considerable renovation, reconstruction, and remodeling, the structure has continued over the years to fill its primary role as a place of worship for the All Saints' congregation. A parish house was added in 1957; in 1987 a new parish house, which incorporated the old, was built.
